Meet some of the cast and crew
Jason Boldt – Director
Jason is currently pursuing a master’s degree in film at the University of Southern California. He has worked on a multitude of film projects including documentaries about many social issues such as homelessness in A Face of Many, along with TV pilots, commercials for Florida Hospital, political campaigns, and more. A visionary with a calm spirit, Jason’s very adept at connecting with the cast and crew.
Barbara Shoner - Screenwriter, Producer, Co-Director
Barbara is the president of ROCK Missions Media. She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Theology at the Maranatha Christian University, has an A.S. Degree in Paralegal Studies, and certified in Christian Counseling through the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has written, choreographed and directed team skits for evangelizing purposes around the world. Raising three teens and being involved with youth groups motivated her to undertake this project that deals with some of the problems that plague today’s youth.
Benjamin L. Gill - Editor
Benjamin is an Orlando-based filmmaker. His passion for editing, motion graphics, and visual effects culminate in films and videos that utilize Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects to create clean, professional work. Benjamin is currently a student at the University of Central Florida earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film.
Jesse Guthrie – Audio
Jesse is an audio engineer who has been in the industry for nearly half a decade. He prides himself in high quality audio. Being recently married, Jesse and his wife reside in Daytona Beach, where they run their production business. Jesse will be graduating soon from Daytona State College with his Bachelors of Applied Science in Supervision and Management. His love for what he does and his love for God fuel his endeavors.
Aaron Swihart – Music Consultant/Sound Engineer
With more than 17 years of sound engineering experience that includes two Grammy Awards, Aaron has worked with Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman, Audio Adrenaline, Peter Frampton, Faith Hill, and Keith Urban, to name a few, and has been a recording engineer on major motion picture soundtracks, including How Stella Got Her Groove Back, The Horse Whisperer, South Park, and The Prince of Egypt. Aaron produced Hiding in the Dark with his talented wife, Honey Swihart, and also consulted on other songs for the soundtrack, as well as the film audio. For the movie, he also performed additional sound effects editing, dialogue editing, and re-recording mixer.
Ashley King – Actress/Moriah
Performing from an early age, Ashley has enjoyed many musical theatre roles such as the title roles in both Annie and Oliver, Maria in The Sound of Music, Lady Tiang in The King and I, Louisa in The Fantaskicks, and Erzulie in Once on this Island, among many others. During high school she was a member of Daytona State College’s Dance Theatre. She has studied voice for six years and sang with the girl’s trio SASS for two years performing at various local venues. Ashley now competes as a soloist in fine arts festivals across the country. Currently a student at Stetson University where she is pursuing a double major in vocal music performance and music education, Ashley is also a locally licensed minister and serves as a worship leader. With a passion for teaching, Ashley has taught musical theatre, dance, voice and piano, along with directing children’s drama productions. Ashley is thrilled to be a part of Steadfast and hopes that it makes an impact on the lives of youth and adults alike!
Kaci Shoner – Actress/Claire
Kaci has been acting in skits and plays since the age of 5. She was in the production of Annie, Jr. with CMT at the Ormond Performing Arts Center, King of the Jungle, Christmas Dream, Undercover Boss skit, and numerous other skits and human videos with local outreach ministries and on mission trips to many countries. She has been a part of acting, choir and dancing teams that have won awards at both State and Nationals in Fine Arts competitions. She also danced for six years and has done some modeling. She is currently a missionary and teacher in Costa Rica.
James-Thomas (JT) Frank – Actor/Nick
James-Thomas (JT) has a musical background. He’s been playing trumpet for approximately 10 years, and was part of a traveling tour band where he also sang and acted in skits.
Tayla Brennan – Actress/Abby
Tayla has been dancing since elementary school and has been acting in a multitude of skits, plays, and human videos for over four year, including State and National Fine Arts competitions where her teams have won several awards.
Natalie Carroll – Actress/Lydia
Natalie started acting at a young age and has starred in Annie, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Peter Pan, and American Beauty. She is also a singer and has written more than 10 songs and continues to record songs such as Real World, Live it Out, Shine, No Turning Back, Just Beginning, as well as singing and performing in her music video One and Only. She is currenty a student at WSU.
Jacob Shoner – Actor/Jesse
Jacob has been acting in skits and plays since the age of 3 for local and international outreach ministries. He played in King of the Jungle as well as numerous skits and human videos for State and National Fine Arts competitions. Besides team victories in those competitions, Jacob also won an award for his heart-wrenching portrayal of Jesus. He is currently an engineering student at UCF.
